The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

I saw a post at Cairo's Place about the Westminster Classic...and I went into a small rant about them never picking a classic looking dog...I was wrong...well, so far this year...

Group winners so far:
Working - Rottweiler
Terrier - BullTerrier
Toy - Pug
Non-Sporting - Dalmatian

Sporting, Hound and Herding groups are left, then the Best in Show...so maybe there is hope for them this year to pick a "classic"...

I am going to watch and pull for the Rottweiler...then the most classic dog left if he doesn't win..

I was pleasantly surprised (even as I was bitter about the boxer's loss) that the Rotty won. It is very unusual.

I would love to see the Rottie win...and maybe some word would get out about the breed and how wonderful they are, and the proper way to raise them...

I want them to allow mutts in. Like my border collie mix or husky lab mix

Cockerdoodles...Husky Retrievers...I think having a Dog show with the unique mixes is a great idea...I had a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd/Wolf mix until a couple years ago...he was beautiful...

Well, I'm glad that a "classic" breed made it out of the Working category. I would have preferred that a Boxer win that category, but I'm happy that a Rottweiler was the finalist ;)

I'm also glad to see a "common" dog make it. Should have been a Pomeranian though...lol
